North Georgia Fishing at Lake Chatuge Get Hooking on Fishing at our Lake and Rivers
A famous North Georgia fishing spot, the waters of Lake Chatuge, are both family fun and a challenge for the most serious angler. The lake is a bass haven, with largemouth, spotted, striped, and hybrid fish. Other fishermen enjoy catching catfish, bream, and crappie.
Boat rentals are available from several Towns County marinas. Fishing guides can also be hired to take you to the best spots. Rainbow and brown trout are waiting for fly fishermen in the Hiawassee River, upstream of Lake Chatuge, and many other area streams.
