Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meal preparation and food handling. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
 
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation for catering events and daily service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations.
  • Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
  • Support dietary department needs by accommodating special dietary requests as necessary.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Skills
  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual accountability.
  • Experience in fine dining or catering is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
