Best Practices & Resource Fair
Join us at the next meeting on March 23rd at Hinton Center. The Best Practices and Resource Fair will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and lunch will be provided.
This meeting will have two parts: the morning “Best Practices” session, and the “Resource Fair” after lunch.
The Best Practices session will include speakers on substance abuse issues, re-purposing facilities to address housing needs, economic development, and more. Learn what has worked/is working in similar areas for many of Clay, Cherokee, and Towns counties’ key issues. Speakers will include reps from The Lazarus Project, Wesley CDC, and others.
The afternoon Resource Fair will facilitate discussions between key foundations, business leaders, and other resources and meeting attendees. Resources present at the fair will include Appalachian Regional Commission, The Community Foundation of WNC, Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, NC Department of Commerce: Rural Economic Development Division, NC Housing Finance Agency, Western NC Nonprofit Pathways, and others.
Please join us and use this opportunity to impact those in the area affected by many of the key issues we discussed at previous meetings.
Please RSVP for this event by March 20th by emailing myself, or Dawn Livingston at dawn@hintoncenter.org.
