Stock Up Before You Cast Out
Before you get out on our sparkling lake, you have to make sure you have all of the lines, hooks, bait and, of course, the sunscreen you’ll need! Lake Chatuge has several stops to make sure you’re getting the best gear in town.
C & J Mountain Outfitters, an outdoor recreation retailer, has a full line of tournament bait and tackle, live bait, workwear and footwear.
Mountain Valley Country Store, another locally owned shop, has a fishing department with a large selection of casting, spinning and fly-fishing flies and lures. Live bait, fly fishing, bass fishing, crappie fishing and custom hand-painted lures are also available. If your rod needs a repair or your reel needs a good cleaning, stop on in
Squiggly Worm Bait and Tackle, which also offers live bait, tackle, ice and fishing rod rentals in addition to their repair services!
Let Our Experts Be Your Guide
Our waters are swimming with prized bass – largemouth, spotted, striped – you name it, you can find it swimming in Lake Chatuge. Many of our local pros and aficionados offer guided tours to make your bass fishing adventure a breeze, like
Fish Chatuge! Captained by Caz Anderson, an accomplished tournament fisherman, Fish Chatuge offers a variety of guided tours for eager and excited guests. You can also team up with the
