Date: November 2, 2019
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
Ron Lambright paddled from his lakeside home at dawn and picked up trash all the way to the Towns County Swim Beach Pavilion, where he met up with the rest of the event
Event Description:
On the first Saturday in November, the Hiwassee River Watershed Coalition will host its 7th Annual Lake Chatuge Shoreline Cleanup, in conjunction with Rivers Alive! The event will kick off at the Towns County Swim Beach Pavilion at 9:00 AM with breakfast and coffee. Volunteer coordinators will lead teams of 5-8 to designated trash sites along the shores of Lake Chatuge and we’ll meet back at the swim beach pavilion at noon for prizes and refreshments. The first 100 volunteers to sign-in will receive a free Rivers Alive t-shirt.

If you have a group of three or more, please RSVP to Raleigh Keagan in advance at admin@hrwc.net or call 828-837-5414 to help us plan for food. You should arrive by 8:45 if you want a t-shirt!
