THE U.S. CONSTITUTION: POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY AND FRAMEWORK OF PRINCIPLES by Joy Vansant

3 Sessions, Tuesday, September 17 – October 1, 10:10 am – 12:10 pm

We will read and study the Constitution in light of its origins including the Magna Carta, Mayflower Compact, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and the Federalist Papers. We will reflect upon the principles set forth by our forefathers to form “a more perfect union” and also present political philosophies which greatly influence our concepts and understandings of government.

Dr. Rhonda Joy Vansant (“Miss Joy”) has been an educator for 47 years. Her dedication has taken her into many realms including public school teaching, college and university work, consulting, writing books, speaking at conferences, serving on boards of directors, and now fulfilling heart-felt desires to help America cherish its heritage. She has lived and worked in various places in our state and nation, and is so happy to call this her home.
