ICL: Special Topics in Astronomy in the Planetarium - Wednesday, April 05, 2023, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
This course will teach participants about special topics in the subject of astronomy, with the topic of the course determined by relevant and timely astronomical events.
Lauren Albin earned her MS in Space Studies with an emphasis in astronomy from American Public University and her MFA in poetry from Arizona State University. She is director of the O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium and instructor of astronomy at Young Harris College. Before stepping into her role at YHC, she worked as a staff astronomer at Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta and taught English and Creative Writing at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA.

The Planetarium is located in the Maxwell Center Building. From the ICL Classroom (862 Main Street) turn east on Maple Street. Next turn right onto the next street, Dobbs McEachern Road. Planetarium is the 1st building on the right.
Course fee $15. (Requires ICL membership - $30 annually if not already a member).
