Event Description:
Scotty Hargrove, 6 Sessions, Thursdays, January 17 – February 21, 1:10 pm – 3:10 pm
Our families offer the most valuable resources and opportunities for understanding ourselves and our relationships to others. Using a family systems approach, this sequence of discussions offers an opportunity to describe our birth families, extended families, and current families in objective ways to help us find our own place in them. Each participant will have the opportunity to complete a family diagram of his/her family, making the effort to get information from three generations. The principles of Bowen Family Systems Theory will be used to understand these diagrams.

This is not a self-help or therapy class, but one in which each person will have the opportunity to discover facts and their meaning in families.  By the end of the sessions, each person should have at least the beginning of a family diagram and a basic grasp of the principals for understanding it.
