Class 1: Presenter – Elizabeth Lindsey, PT, DPT, CCVT
Vestibular Conditions and How to Fall Proof Your Life. The first in our series of informative classes will explore the various conditions that are responsible for falls. Taking the time to plan your activities will help you prevent one of the most prevalent causes of hospitalization in the United States: Falls with traumatic injury.
Class 2: Presenters – Laura Ors, PT, DPT Pelvic Health Specialist / Wayne Barth, PT, DOR
Pelvic Health 101. Covering everything from incontinence to sexual dysfunction in women and men, our newest program focuses on a complex problem facing many patients and rarely ever discussed. We will take a new look at the tricks you can use to regain your control over your body. Preventing Neck and Back Injuries and Improving Your Posture. Too many of us today are victims of technology and the “Lazy-boy” society that we live in.
Class 3: Presenter - Meagan Barnett, OTD, OTR/L
Aging and Brain Fitness. In this class we will learn what it means to lead a “brain healthy lifestyle”. You will learn specific activities, exercises and even foods that can help you maintain your brain function at peak capacity. The presenter will also give you a number of resources for healthy aging and apps for brain games.
Class 4: Presenter – Ron Westfall, PT
We will conclude our series with Lifestyle Management for Optimal Health. You will be educated on the impact of exercise, proper diet choices and how to make positive decisions about your lifestyle. While there is an abundance of information available for us to learn about lifestyle choices, diet choices and even our activity level; it can be daunting to do the research and motivate yourself to make a change in your life.
