Christianity in the Americas - Course Instructor Dr. Adam Daniels
A survey of how Christian theology and belief was repurposed in the founding of the United States of America and how it continues to have influence today. Items and peoples considered will be but are not limited to: the "faith" of the founding fathers, the effect of free enterprise on religion in the colonial period, revivalism, separation of church and state, the Civil Rights Movement, the Religious Right, and Liberation Theology in South America.
Rev. Dr. Adam Daniels is the Chaplain at Young Harris College and also teaches classes in the Department of Religion. He has been in ministry for 16 years and holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry. He has traveled all over the globe but believes it's hard to beat the community here in the Enchanted Valley.
