The John C. Campbell Folk School is thrilled to present Centennial Sounds, a special five-concert series celebrating the rich musical traditions of Appalachia while amplifying diverse voices shaping its future. Funded in part with a grant from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, the series is part of the Folk School’s yearlong 100th anniversary celebrations and will take place on select Monday evenings from May through September 2026 in the school’s historic Festival Barn.
Sept. 14 — Jake Blount Band with Hubby Jenkins (from The Carolina Chocolate Drops) and Hannah Mayree (from The Black Banjo Reclamation Project)
All shows are held in the historic Festival Barn at 7 p.m. — $25 for adults and $5 for youth.
