DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with National Public Lands Day\, the 8th annual Family Hiking Day on the Appalachian trail will be held on September 22nd\, 2018. On Family Hiking Day\, the ATC promotes and supports guided hikes and stewardship events on the A.T. hosted by our Trail partners\, educators\, advocates. We know that many A.T.-maintaining clubs and A.T. Communities are planning hikes\, stewardship opportunities\, and outreach events to celebrate Family Hiking Day.
